Most coaching programs are built around generic frameworks. LiNQ coaching is built around the owner sitting across from us. Ben Wagner works one on one with a small number of business owners each year, applying 20 years of CFO, M&A, and operator experience to the financial, strategic, and exit decisions that shape a business owner’s next five to 10 years.
Who It's For
This service is built for business owners generating $1M to $50M in annual revenue who want a senior thought partner in the room with them. Common triggers include preparing for an exit in the next one to five years, scaling past a growth ceiling without a true CFO in place, evaluating a buyout or recapitalization offer, or working through a leadership transition. It is not designed for owners looking for cheerleading, accountability check-ins, or generic small business advice.
What We Do
Owner Diagnostic. We spend the first 30 days inside your business, reviewing the financials, the operating model, and your personal goals, and producing a written diagnostic that names the three to five issues most likely to constrain value or growth.
Private Working Sessions. We meet twice a month for 90 minutes with a structured agenda tied to your diagnostic, rotating through finance, operations, team, and exit strategy.
Decision Support Between Sessions. When a high-stakes question comes up between sessions, you have direct access to Ben for a phone call or written analysis, not a queued ticket.
Quarterly Recalibration. Every 90 days we step back to assess progress against the diagnostic, update the goals, and adjust the agenda so the coaching stays tied to measurable outcomes.
Exit and Capital Readiness Overlay. When a sale, raise, or recapitalization comes into view, we shift the coaching agenda to prepare you and the business for what is coming, drawing on LiNQ’s exit advisory and fractional CFO work.
Engagement Structure
LiNQ coaching is a limited engagement. Ben works with a small number of owners at any one time to protect the quality of the relationship. Most engagements run six to 12 months on a fixed retainer with quarterly checkpoints. We are not a coaching certification program or a curriculum. We are a private advisory relationship with a CFO who has been in your seat.
